Dina Khorchid
Lab Manager, Digital Printing
Dina Khorchid is a visual artist working primarily with printed and woven textiles. Her work constructs narratives of place and connections to lost bodies, through mark-making and material studies that manifest as textiles and works on paper. Dina’s practice is intensely personal and deeply political. She explores themes of identity and geo-politics, domesticity, land and memory access, in relation to her lived experiences as a third-generation Palestinian refugee, an artist and a daughter of a missing war casualty.
Dina’s artworks were featured in group shows in the USA, Tunisia, UAE and Lebanon. She completed a Master of Fine Arts in Textiles at the Rhode Island School of Design (2023), where she was a recipient of the Society of Presidential Fellows Award, a Bachelors in Visual Communication from the American University of Sharjah (2009) and participated in a number of artist residencies and fellowships. Prior to RISD and focusing her career in Art, she served as Head of Design, Textiles and Graphic Designer for various studios and organizations.
At RISD, Dina provides students with technical support to digitally print their work on fabric in a hands-on production approach.
